Espace Mushagalusa
Are you wondering what the word Mushagalusa might mean? In Shi, a language spoken by nearly two million citizens of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, it means Bringer of Joy.
Originally opened in 2010 on Montreal’s Sherbrooke West, Espace Mushagalusa was launched as a gallery dedicated solely to the discovery and promotion of traditional African art.
Since 2014, we have been at 533 Ontario East with a new vision and a creative space where different cultures meet and mingle in the name of art.
Espace Mushagalusa is now a place with no borders where different forms of artistic expression can freely – and joyously ¬– flow together. In the same way that we welcome the wide diversity of artistic disciplines and visions, our doors are always open to the dedicated, creative talents that want to share them with us.
These are the main services we have to offer:
• Exhibitions: promotion and support.
• Space to rent. Our 2,600 square feet can be hired in part or in its totality as required.
• Event organization at Espace Mushagalusa. Whether it is a private or corporate event – such as, a convention, meeting, banquet, cocktail, launch, press conference, workshop or concert – our team is ready to help you put your project together in order to make it a total success.
If you have any questions or need our support with your plans for an exhibition or event or just want information about our products, services and rates, please do not hesitate to call. Better still, why not visit and meet us at the address below? We will be delighted to help.
